"MIX Copenhagen had the pleasure of collaborating with Glasyr for the festival's 2015 visual identity. Not only did we receive positive feedback regarding the user-friendliness of our printed program and website, we also received immense positive reactions to our visual identity. Posters, programs and postcards were sought-after due to the visually pleasing looks and our stock were completely empty when the festival ended. MIX Copenhagen experienced a 12% increase in visitors primarily due to the new visual identity. To us, Glasyr showcased a high level of professionalism, creativity and vision — something that made our 2015 visual identity the most acclaimed in the festival's 30 years.”
Mix Copenhagen is one of Denmark’s oldest film festivals and has been celebrating diversity for the last 30 years. Mix is a LGBTQ festival that is run by volunteers. Their goal is to show movies that bend gender, cross sexual boundaries, affect the gender debate and reflect a diverse world.
Mix Copenhagen wanted a new visual identity for their 30th anniversary. The brief was clear. Make it worthy. Do not portray people or skin. Use the existing logo and font.
Glasyr created an identity founded on the concept of diversity portrayed with the morph between letters and the use of holographic foil. To honor the history we got inspired by pre-film flip books. The darkness required to project film led us to use a black background. Mix Copenhagen got an identity that got praised and attracted more visitors than ever.
